How we inspire change from within communities

The Clara Vista Continuum is the unique way we empower communities to control their own development. Before we engage in any activity, we first identify a group of local leaders to be decision-makers for their community. We work with them to continuously create and implement community action plans. This includes prioritizing their needs, identifying local partners, and leading their own projects.

It starts with a plan

Clara Vista helps rural communities come up with a tangible plan to achieve their vision. In the midst of rapid rural development, it’s important that communities develop a strong vision for their future so they can stand up for it. This process involves extensive community participation to conduct a baseline community appraisal, verify data, and prioritize needs. See our example below for the community of Venado, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
